Let me introduce myself, I’m Joe Shaw – the founder of Bartender Planet.
I started this blog to share everything I’ve learned about the art of bartending during my time in the industry.
With over a decade of experience behind the bar, I’m passionate about creating delicious cocktails, engaging with customers, and sharing my knowledge with aspiring bartenders all around the world.
I wanted to create the blog that I wish I had when I was starting out many moons ago to help those getting started in the industry gain the upper hand and be full of confidence.
I’ve worked as a bartender in bars and nightclubs across Australia, New Zealand, America, the UK, and Brazil, and loved every second of it.
During this time I’ve picked up tips, tricks, and insights from some of the best bartenders in the world and I share them throughout our blog posts.
Experience
- Currently working in the bartending industry and have been for close to 11 years
- Progressing from a bartender to a bar manager, running and successfully operating multiple high-end establishments
- Traveled the world working as a bartender and running nightlife events
- Fully licensed and certified bartender with further qualifications in food handling
- Knee-deep in the bartending industry and have no plans to slow down just yet!
